TETRO x ABBA VOYAGE

For ABBA VOYAGE and with its director Baillie WALSH, TETRO conceived and supervised the entire lighting concept for this spectacular show that reinvents the codes of the musical. More than 2 years of work, a dedicated 3,000-seat theater, an international team of more than 50 experts in special effects, music and scenography...these are just a few of the figures that give the tone of this unprecedented concert inaugurated at the end of May in London. A look back at this fabulous international adventure that mobilized Matthieu DEBAY as Light Producer for several months.

TETRO AT THE HEART OF THE CREATIVE ADVENTURE
An unprecedented project that begins in 2019 with an email from the producer Svana GISLADOTTIR. A few lines that will lead Matthieu Debay to take part in this fabulous international adventure that brings together the best European show creators under the artistic direction of director Baillie WALSH: the studio INDUSTRIAL LIGHT AND MAGIC for the group's avatars, the company WAYNE Mc GREGOR for the choreography, the stylist B.ÄKERLUND for the costumes and the architects STUFISH for the construction of the theater.

Selected for its unique creative approach, TETRO, the only French team on the project, joined the creative team. Matthieu DEBAY, founder and artistic director of TETRO, took on the challenge of turning BAILLIE's artistic vision into reality: designing and supervising the entire lighting concept for the show, one of the pillars that will weave a link between the two worlds of the real theater and the virtual stage.

AN ALLIANCE OF EUROPEAN TALENTS SUPERVISED BY TETRO
For more than two years, this unique project mobilized Matthieu DEBAY as Lighting Producer, in collaboration with Baillie WALSH and the exceptional ILM studio, around the best European lighting designers. A true bridge between the world of cinema and that of entertainment, the lighting of this show required the creation of new lighting devices: a new specific laser system invented by Michael SOLLINGER made it possible to present an aurora borealis in the heart of the arena. New kinetic elements were also prototyped by the Berlin-based WHITEvoid to immerse the audience in an exceptional finale mixing dance and colors.
