IRIS | AV EXTENDED
For the Lyon Festival of Lights 2021, TETRO+A is programming a video mapping creation on
an architectural totem of this major and eagerly awaited public event: the Saint-Jean
Cathedral.
The IRIS projection imagined by the Av Extended collective questions the complexity and
multiplicity of views, of visual translations of the visible world through light.
For the Festival of Lights, the collective will explore light in 7 tableaux, turning the
cathedral's rose window into the iris of our eye to offer a magical view of the city.
A cello composition will accompany this 7-minute show, which will be repeated in a loop
throughout the evening. A must-see on this edition's itinerary!

A symbolic birth that illustrates the need to pursue culture and creation in times of crisis in order to abstract oneself from daily life, to open up to new imaginations and to draw the necessary energy to tackle tomorrow.
