Villefranche (69), North West Hospital / from December 10, 2020 to January 7, 2021
Guillaume MARMIN's mobile PASSENGERS installation was born at the end of 2020.This immersive, sound and light experience of a suspended passage between past and future is a true metaphor of the change of epoch we are going through. It has been set up on the forecourt of the North-West Hospital in Villefranche and willcontinue its journey to soon shine in Aix en Provence, Paris or Nantes. PASSENGERS will surprise and immerse the public with positive light waves, revealing infinite perspective son each exhibition site.
PASSENGERS proposes a contemplative and introspective experience, a space-time capsule, suspended between past and future, which questions our own finitude.PASSENGERS is enveloped in a container that opens on each side and reveals a framed perspective on its exhibition site. The kaleidoscopic interior reflects and multiplies the exterior environment according to the viewer's point of view. Each visitor is invited tocross the installation to see his or her image infinitely multiplied in a landscape of moving pixels. The geometrical abstraction of the compositions plays with the physical movement of the spectator in order to create a distancing with his own body.
