— BACKGROUND —
Created in 2014, the River Nights Festival transforms the banks of the Singapore River.
The festival coincides with the 50th anniversary of Singapore’s independence. To pay tribute to 50 years of Franco-Singaporean diplomatic relations, the festival chose to spotlight French artists.
At the invitation of the Asian Civilisations Museum, Tetro presented and produced a multisensory installation by Trafik studio.
— ART INSTALLATION —
Tetro produced “160”, an interactive light and sound installation created by Pierre and Joël Rodière from Trafik.
This multi-sensory experience exploredshow shapes, colours and sound are depicted and projected in space and the ways they interact. The installation consists of 20 arches, each measuring 2.7 metres by 2.7 metres and containing eight light segments.
The resulting structure is fitted with 160 light bars over a 60-metre span, with its movements guided from a tablet.
