Client brief

How can Jaeger-LeCoultre's universe be translated into a work of art capable of durably embodying its brand territory?

Create an original artistic installation around sound, matter, and nature, resonating with The Sound Maker™ identity, while establishing a dialogue between the Manufacture's watchmaking expertise and contemporary art. The work needed to become a true cultural ambassador for the Maison at its international events.

Our response

Identify the artist whose universe naturally resonates with that of Jaeger-LeCoultre, then support the concept development, production, and realization of a bespoke artistic commission.

In collaboration with Zimoun, we produced a sound sculpture made up of 1,944 motors and nearly 2,000 metal components sourced from the Manufacture. Set individually into motion, these elements generate a visual and sonic matter in constant evolution, evoking the shimmer of water, the rustle of nature, and the acoustic richness of watchmaking mechanisms.

More than an installation, this work creates a dialogue between contemporary art and fine watchmaking. By transforming watchmaking components into a living score, it reveals the connections between mechanical precision, matter, and emotion, while durably enriching Jaeger-LeCoultre's cultural universe. Designed to travel, it accompanies the Maison across its international events and embodies the vision carried by The Sound Maker™.
