République Grolée-Carnot ✕ Patrick Nadeau
Transforming a flow into a destination.
Throughout the year, we imagined four seasonal activations designed to reconnect people with the space. This is the spring edition.
Client brief
At the heart of Lyon, Rue de la République is a major thoroughfare — constantly crossed, yet rarely experienced. The challenge was to transform this continuous flow into a stopping point, turning a transit space into a place of attention. How can attention be captured and sustained within a transitional public space?
Our response
Design an intervention operating on two levels: transforming the space through an artistic gesture while activating the public around a popular cultural moment.
For Mother’s Day, the #cestlebouquet activation introduced a multichannel experiential concept combining installation, public activation and digital amplification. At its centre stood a monumental floating garden created in collaboration with architect Patrick Nadeau — a spectacular vegetal island suspended within the urban flow. In just two days, more than 20,000 people appropriated the space.
Around the installation, a multichannel strategy amplified the experience through campaigns, social media and contests. At the heart of the activation, guests could win an intimate plant-based dinner beneath the structure with their mothers, imagined by Michelin-starred chef Gaëtan Gentil.
Finally, in a logic of sustainability and continuity, the 1,500 plants and flowers used for the installation were redistributed to the public after the event.
An intervention designed to capture attention, generate engagement and transform urban flows by turning a public space into a lived, shared and memorable destination.
