For several years, The Absolut Company Creation has been exploring new forms of experiences around electronic cultures. In 2019, the brand wanted a touring stage installation — visually striking and immersive for audiences.
Client brief
How can a spectacular installation be designed to adapt to the production constraints of clubs and festivals, while renewing the audience's experience?
Create a self-contained, transportable, and modular system offering a strong visual identity, capable of accompanying different artists and bringing scenography, lighting, video, and music into real-time dialogue.
Our response
Envision an immersive scenic architecture, inspired by classical theatre sets reinterpreted through contemporary technologies.
A self-supporting structure made up of cut-out modules, clad in pixel-mapped LED and enhanced with video mapping, becomes a true visual instrument synchronized with the musical performance. At the heart of the system, the artist takes their place in a luminous booth designed as an extension of the scenography.
Conceived as an evolving system, Physis adapts to different configurations thanks to its modularity, while retaining its visual power. Light totems can extend the installation into public space, carrying the experience beyond the stage and deepening audience immersion. The interplay between light, video, and music transforms every performance into a unique experience — somewhere between artistic installation and augmented scenography.
