How can we make people feel what is at stake, beyond the speeches?

Our response

Creating a ceremony to be experienced, brought to life by local creative talents.

We imagined Confluence: a metaphor for the human, natural and political flows that converge in Marseille to shape a shared future.

Our editorial approach was built around the concept of Confluence — a meeting point between people, territories and the living world. An idea that resonates with Marseille, a city of crossings and exchanges, as well as with the Congress itself, which brings together biodiversity stakeholders from across the globe.

This concept unfolds through a narrative structured in three chapters: The Power of Nature, celebrating the richness and beauty of the living world; Nature in Danger, highlighting its fragility in the face of climate disruption; and finally Hope, opening a positive and collective perspective focused on action.

Visually, the ceremonies were connected by a graphic pattern inspired by the MUCEM’s architectural mesh, the IUCN logo and the coral formations of Marseille’s coastline. This visual language created a continuous thread between speeches, artistic performances and audiovisual sequences, giving the event a distinctive identity rooted in both its territory and its purpose.

By translating complex issues into a tangible and emotional experience, we moved beyond the institutional format to create a genuinely engaging moment.
