L'ORÉAL | JAPANESE BEAUTY

Scroll

PARIS - 19.10.2015

Culture & harmony

— BACKGROUND —

L’Oréal was seeking to spotlight beauty in all its diversity by presenting a series of photo exhibitions to its workforce to illustrate its motto of “Beauty for All.” In the wake of shows devoted to Africa, Brazil, and Russia, L’Oréal calls on Tetro to create a fourth thematic photo exhibition.

— MISSION —

Present a new exhibition that explores Japanese beauty through the eyes of four Japanese photographers, and share their creative way of looking at the world via the L’Oréal Group’s social media devoted to beauty.

— CREATION —

Japanese beauty is about much more than pure-skinned geishas and women with shiny, strong black hair. This exhibition reveals the intimate relationship between Japanese beauty and the culture of harmony – harmony with the world and oneself. Japanese beauty lies in darkness and silence, freshness and sensibility, but also a sense of fun, inspired by kawaii fashions. For this new exhibition, Tetro selects 10 photographs by four talented young Japanese artists:
Kira, Hideaki Hamada, Sayaka Maruyama, Naoki Nagatsuki.
