MINI BURBLE PARIS

— BACKGROUND —

For the 2014 Nuit Blanche festival in Paris, event partner Samsung Electronics France wants to present a unique happening on the square in front of the Paris city hall, the starting point for the Nuit Blanche arts itinerary.

— MISSION —

Samsung Electronics is looking to present a unique artwork for the public that would generate media and viral buzz.

— CREATION —

Tetro agrees to commission and produce an event that would use Samsung technology to create a monumental work of art.

The result is “Mini Burble Paris”, a huge, interactive light installation from the Umbrellium collective. Umbrellium includes architects, designers and creative technicians who are specialized in producing participatory urban spectacles. More than 250,000 people have viewed this enormous, flexible and responsive structure, standing 30 metres high and comprised of 300 balloons with multi-coloured LEDs. Offering an innovative, poetic and interactive play area, this aerial artwork gives viewers a chance to finger-paint the installation themselves, using Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablets as colour pads. Mini Burble is an example of playful technology that combines recreation and creativity.
