LYON - 2013 > 2014
A gathering of the creative industries
BACKGROUND & MISSION
As part of its policy to promote the creative industries and provide an economic boost to the sector, the regional government for Greater Lyon was seeking to energize and unify the local creative community, notably through a series of forums held throughout the year. Le Grand Lyon enlisted Tetro to coordinate six events in 2013 and 2014, each meant to bring together some 300 creatives from the worlds of cinema, television, fashion, food and drink, architecture, design and more.
Tetro relied on a simple formula: short talks by four to six speakers, followed by a cocktail event where creative entrepreneurs could informally converse and network.
To ensure these Creative Times events would closely reflect the people and business sectors active in the region’s creative scene, Tetro designed a mobile environment that could be erected at various noteworthy locations. For each forum, Tetro proposed a topic in keeping with the regional government’s objectives, then selected a site and speakers accordingly. And to give each forum a distinctive flavour while reaffirming the commitment to creativity, Tetro included a series of arts events at each Creative Times site. It all served to showcase local talent and foster dialogue and collaboration among a variety of industries.
